Finally got the McGarvey pics up!
These pictures are from our trip to Las Vegas a few weeks ago to celebrate the wedding of Brian McGarvey and Ivy Cunningham. Guys and gals decided it would be fun to combine the bachelor/bachelorette weekend and certainly it was a highlight to be able to spend a great weekend with all our friends at the same time. On the Saturday, the guys decided to rent a bunch of sports cars and drive from Las Vegas out to Hoover damn and back. While driving speeds were often in excess of 120mph, only one person got a traffic ticket ($475…ouch!) Of the 5 cars, it was somewhat of a surprise which were favorites. Some may be put off by the looks of the little Lotus Elise but I couldn’t believe how fun this car was. It’s essentially an over powered go-kart for the road. The most docile looking of all the cars, the Mercedes SL 55 AMG was the most powerful and fastest in a straight line. It isn’t a car you’d necessarily notice on the road but if it has the AMG badge it has a huge 500hp V-8 that makes the car an absolute rocket. Of course, they were all fun. Highly reccomended activity to consider next time you are in Vegas.
