Who is my favorite flickr member?
Rebekka Guðleifsdóttir doesn’t post on flickr as much as she used to but she is the ONE artist/photographer who inspires me to experiment with my camera more than any other. In fact, this week I’m going to start working on some multiplicity images like she has done here. I’ve tried doing a few and it takes a bit of practice to get it right. Rebekka is from Iceland and she writes, paints, draws, shoots with her camera and even knits the occasional sweater too. Girl’s got skills.
Brian has a birthday…
And we’re there to help him celebrate. This time we crash Viceroy in Seattle. Good times…
Jerry Hanauer
I am sorry to report that Jerry Hanauer, father of longtime friend Adrian Hanauer and brother Nick has passed last Sunday December 2, 2007. Over the 13 years I’ve known Adrian, I came to appreciate Jerry as a creative and eclectic businessman who had an incredible infatuation with history, arts and the culture of Western civilization. It is no secret that over the years, Jerry and the whole Hanauer family became immensely successful. But Jerry was known by me as something of a bohemian - he who lives an unconventional artistic life, where the art of self-expression is of the highest value (acting, poetry, writing, singing, dancing, painting, etc.) and is in fact central to the meaning of life itself. He was a man who really did live life on his own terms and he’ll be missed by thousands.
Evening with friends…
We enjoyed a great evening taking in the view at Brian Marcinek’s house in downtown Seattle on Friday night. Great time. He’s got a pretty incredible fish collection too but most people wouldn’t know the guy has more high end spices than anyone I’ve ever met. The truffle salt was unbelievable…
First snow in Seattle
Yesterday was the first snowfall of the year! We were out running errands and took a few photos to share with all of you!
Poor Porsche GT3
Saw this while getting our car serviced at Barrier Porsche in Bellevue yesterday. What a way to treat a $105,000 car huh. Is that a tear coming to my eye?
